I facilitate rhythm events to provide groups and individuals with a powerful opportunity to explore the joy of community, group music-making and to remember the zest for life residing in each of us.
As a rhythm event facilitator, I draw on my experience as an educator and facilitator in the U.S. and in Europe where I have worked with youth in schools and in camps and adults in college and business.
My passion for rhythm and music comes largely from playing and studying percussion over the past 25 years. As a child and young adult I explored blues, jazz and rock percussion. In the last decade I have been fortunate to study with teachers of West African, Cuban, and Indian rhythm cultures. My facilitation skills in a rhythmic environment have developed through training with Arthur Hull, the "father of the facilitated drum circle", and Reinhard and Cornelia Flatishler's TaKeTiNa rhythm process. I am grateful to be able to share the power of rhythm and music with all of you.
